Ingredients
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of sea salt
- 1 1/4 cups of warm water
To make this delicious rosemary and sea salt focaccia, start by mixing the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the olive oil, rosemary, and warm water into the bowl and mix until the dough comes together.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp towel. Allow the dough to rise in a warm, draft-free area for about an hour or until it has doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking sheet and set it aside. Punch down the dough and transfer it to the baking sheet. Use your fingertips to press the dough out into a rectangle shape. Brush the top of the dough with olive oil, and sprinkle it with sea salt.
Bake the focaccia in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until it is golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
This rosemary and sea salt focaccia is perfect for serving as an appetizer, as a side dish with a main meal, or for dipping into a hearty soup. It’s easy to make and is sure to impress your guests. Enjoy!
