Looking for a cool and refreshing drink to quench your thirst on a hot summer day? Try making homemade iced tea! Not only is it easy to make, but it's also a healthier alternative to sugary drinks.
Ingredients:
- 6 tea bags (any flavor you prefer, black tea is recommended)
- 8 cups of water
- 1/2 cup of honey or sugar (or to taste)
- 1 lemon (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Boil 8 cups of water in a large pot.
- Turn off the heat and add 6 tea bags to the pot. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes or until the desired strength is achieved.
- Remove the tea bags and stir in 1/2 cup of honey or sugar until it dissolves. Add more sweetener if necessary.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy twist (optional).
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- Fill a pitcher with ice cubes and pour the tea over the ice.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
Tips:
- For a stronger tea flavor, use more tea bags or let it steep longer.
- Try adding different flavors such as mint, ginger, or fruit slices to your tea for a unique taste.
- Use honey instead of sugar for a healthier alternative.
- Serve with a slice of lemon, lime or orange for added flavor and presentation.
