Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of potatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
To start, peel and chop your potatoes into small pieces. Rinse them under cold water to remove any excess starch, then place them in a large pot of salted water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let the potatoes simmer until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
While the potatoes are cooking, you can prepare the garlic. Mince the garlic cloves and set them aside until you are ready to add them to the mashed potatoes.
When the potatoes are done cooking, drain them and return them to the pot. Add the garlic, heavy cream, butter, salt, and pepper to the pot, then use a potato masher or electric mixer to mash the potatoes until they are smooth and creamy.
Adjust the seasoning to taste, then serve the mashed potatoes hot and enjoy!
