Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the sugar and stir to combine.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Add the flour and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
Tips:
To make the brownies even more fudgy, refrigerate the batter for 30 minutes before baking. You can also add chopped nuts or swirls of caramel or peanut butter on top of the batter before baking for added flavor.
