 Ingredients:
 -   1 lb. fresh calamari, cleaned and sliced into rings 
-   1/2 cup all-purpose flour

-   1/4 tsp. black pepper 
-   1 egg, beaten 
-   1/4 cup milk 
-   1 cup breadcrumbs

-   1/4 cup sour cream 
-   1 lemon, juiced and zested 
-   1 clove garlic, minced 
-   Salt and pepper, to taste 
 Directions:
 -   In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. 
-   In another shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk. 
-   Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish. 
-   Coat each calamari ring in the flour mixture, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs. 
-   Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
-   Working in batches, fry the calamari rings until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. 
-   Remove the calamari with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. 
-   In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice and zest, garlic, salt, and pepper to make the lemon aioli. 
-   Serve the fried calamari hot with the lemon aioli on the side for dipping.
