Decadent Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well and press the mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add sour cream and vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually add the eggs, beating on low speed until just combined. Stir in the melted chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cheesecake is set. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen the cheesecake, then remove the sides of the pan.
  6. Spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
