Delicious Hummus with Crispy Pita Chips Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup of tahini
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4-6 pita breads
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F
  2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas and remove the skin for a smoother texture
  3. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Cut the pita bread into wedges and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper.
  6. Bake the pita chips in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve the hummus with the warm pita chips and enjoy!
