Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Start by preheating your oven to 400°F. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle that is about 1/4 inch thick.
In a small bowl, beat the egg with a fork. Brush the beaten egg over the entire surface of the puff pastry.
In a separate bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the surface of the puff pastry.
Using a sharp knife, cut the puff pastry into strips that are about 1/2 inch wide. Twist each strip gently to give it a spiral shape, then place the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the cheese straws in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Serve warm and enjoy!
