Ingredients:
- 1 pound pasta
- 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and garlic. Cook over medium heat until the onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to the skillet with the onions. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Top the pasta with the crispy bacon and serve immediately.
