Baked Beans with Bacon and Brown Sugar Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cans (28 oz each) baked beans
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Start by cooking the bacon and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the bacon is crispy and the onion is tender, about 10 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked bacon and onion with the baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, molasses, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the beans are hot and bubbly and the sauce has thickened. Serve hot and enjoy!
