Delicious Cinnamon Raisin Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter is melted. Add water and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  3. Add the milk mixture and eggs to the flour mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and knead in the raisins. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack.
