Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup raisins
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter is melted. Add water and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
- Add the milk mixture and eggs to the flour mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough and knead in the raisins. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack.
