When the weather is hot and sunny, there's nothing quite like a refreshing glass of iced tea to quench your thirst. And if you're looking to add a zesty twist to your usual iced tea recipe, look no further than this delicious lemon iced tea recipe.
Ingredients:
- 6 black tea bags
- 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- A handful of fresh mint leaves
- 6 cups of water
- Ice cubes
Start by boiling the water in a large pot. Once the water is boiling, add the tea bags and let them steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until it is completely dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
Once the tea has cooled, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and a handful of fresh mint leaves. Stir to combine and then refrigerate for at least an hour, or until the tea is cold.
When you're ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemon iced tea over the top. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint, and enjoy!
