Stuffed peppers are a classic dish that never goes out of style. With their colorful appearance and delicious taste, stuffed peppers are perfect for any occasion, from a casual weeknight meal to a fancy dinner party. This recipe is easy to follow and will leave your taste buds wanting more!

Ingredients:

  • 6 large bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Before starting, preheat your oven to 350°F. Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds and membranes from the inside. Rinse the peppers with cold water and set them aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is no longer pink. Drain the excess fat and add the cooked rice, onion, celery, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Mix well and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.

Spoon the filling into the peppers and place them in a baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the peppers are tender. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the peppers and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once the cheese is melted, remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Serve them hot and enjoy!
