Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Start by seasoning the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Once done, remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
Add the butter to the same skillet and melt it over medium heat. Add the sliced apples and cook them for 2-3 minutes, or until they are slightly softened. Pour in the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, honey, and dried thyme. Stir well and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the apple sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the pork chops are heated through and the sauce is hot. Serve immediately and enjoy!
