Bolognese Sauce with Spaghetti Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup red wine (optional)
  • 1 pound spaghetti

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. If using red wine, add it to the skillet.
  4. Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and serve with the Bolognese sauce on top.
