Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup red wine (optional)
- 1 pound spaghetti
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. If using red wine, add it to the skillet.
- Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the sauce is simmering, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
- Drain the spaghetti and serve with the Bolognese sauce on top.
