Delicious Baked Sweet Potatoes with Pecans and Marshmallows Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
To start, preheat your oven to 375°F. Wash and dry your sweet potatoes, then pierce them with a fork a few times. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes, or until they're tender.While your sweet potatoes are baking, make the topping. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, and stir until everything is well combined. Remove from the heat and set aside.Once your sweet potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the flesh with a spoon, leaving about 1/4 inch of flesh in the skin.Place the sweet potato skins back on the baking sheet and brush them with the melted butter and brown sugar mixture.
