ideaparty

Grilled endive is a tasty and healthy dish that is perfect for a summer barbecue or as a side dish for any meal. This recipe is easy to make and packed with flavor. Endive is a member of the lettuce family and has a slightly bitter taste that pairs perfectly with the tangy flavor of lemon and the pungent aroma of garlic.

Ingredients:

  • 4 endives, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Start by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. While the grill is heating up, prepare the endives by cutting them in half lengthwise. Brush each endive half with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Next, place the endives on the grill, cut side down. Grill for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are charred and tender. Flip the endives over and grill for an additional 2-3 minutes.

While the endives are grilling, prepare the lemon and garlic dressing. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Once the endives are done grilling, transfer them to a serving platter. Drizzle the lemon and garlic dressing over the top of the grilled endives. Serve the dish warm and enjoy!
