  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. In a small saucepan, boil the apple cider until it reduces to 1/2 cup. Set it aside to cool.
