Ingredients:

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to form the mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the meatballs to the skillet and spoon some of the tomato sauce over them. Cover the skillet and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
