Nachos with Ground Beef and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until the beef is coated in the spices.
  4. Arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Spoon the ground beef mixture over the tortilla chips.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the ground beef and tortilla chips.
  7. Add the diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeño pepper (if using) on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
