Looking for a mouthwatering twist on traditional bread? Try this garlic and herb focaccia recipe! This soft and savory bread is perfect for pairing with soups, stews, or as a stand-alone snack.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Mix the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and mix until well combined. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, mix the minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and remaining olive oil together in a separate small bowl.

Preheat your oven to 400°F. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil. Stretch the dough out to fit the baking sheet, then use your fingers to make small indentations in the dough. Spread the garlic and herb mixture over the dough, and sprinkle the sea salt on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let it cool down, then slice and serve it warm. Enjoy!
