Ingredients:
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Mix well and press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the baked crust.
- Pour the apple pie filling over the cream cheese mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Swirl the caramel sauce over the apple pie filling using a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the cheesecake is set.
- Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes:
For a more pronounced apple flavor, try adding a teaspoon of apple pie spice to the cream cheese mixture. You can also experiment with different types of caramel sauce or toppings to customize this recipe to your liking. These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but are best when served fresh.
